တက်ရောက်လာကြတဲ့ ဧည့်သည်များ၊ လုပ်ဖေါ်ကိုင်ဖက် မိတ်ဆွေများအားလုံး မင်္ဂလာပါ။

ဒီနေ့ SBN Myanmar ရဲ့ Power Biz Bridging Business and Nutri Link-Up Event မှာ အခုလို စုံစုံညီညီ တက်ရောက်ပေးကြရင်း ပြန်လည်ဆုံတွေ့ကြရတာ ဝမ်းသာပါတယ်။ ကျွန်တော် ကျေးဇူးတင်စကားလေးနဲ့ ပထမဆုံး စပါရစေ။ အခု Program လေးဖြစ်မြောက်အောင် ပံ့ပိုးပေးတဲ့ World Food Program၊ Technical Partner များအဖြစ် Program တလျှောက်လုံး အားတက်သရော် ဆောင်ရွက်ပေးခဲ့တဲ့ Impact Hub Myanmar, Fresh Studio နဲ့ Wageningen University၊ Corporate Partner များအဖြစ် ရက်ရက်ရောရော ပါဝင်ပေးခဲ့ကြတဲ့ Food Panda၊ AYA Bank နဲ့ Program တလျှောက်လုံး ကြိုးစားပမ်းစား တက်တက်ကြွကြွ ပါဝင်ခဲ့ကြတဲ့ ထုတ်လုပ်သူ လုပ်ငန်းရှင် Entrepreneurs များအားလုံးကို အထူးကျေးဇူးတင်ရှိပါတယ်။ အရင်းအမြစ် အကန့်အသတ်တွေ ကြားကနေ ပေါင်းကူး စီမံဆောင်ရွက်ပေးခဲ့တဲ့ SBN ရဲ့ National Coordinator Dr. Zarni Htet Hlaing ကိုလည်း အထူးကျေးဇူးတင်ရှိပါတယ်။

ကျွန်တော် ဒီ Keynote Speech လေးကို SBN Myanmar လို Business Network နဲ့ ယခု Power Biz လို Program မျိုးဟာ ဘာ့ကြောင့် အရေးပါတယ်ဆိုတာလေးနဲ့ စချင်ပါတယ်။

Food Systems လို့ခေါ်တဲ့ စားနပ်ရိက္ခာစံနစ်တွေဟာ အလွန်ရှုပ်ထွေးတဲ့ ထုတ်လုပ်မှု ကွင်းဆက် Value Chain တွေနဲ့ ယှက်နွယ်တည်ဆောက်ထားတာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒီခန်းမထဲမှာရှိတဲ့ သစ်သားထိုင်ခုံတွေဆို သစ်တောထဲကနေဒီခန်းမထဲ မရောက်ခင် အကြမ်းဖျင်း အလွန်ဆုံး ၄ ၅ ဆင့်လောက်ဘဲ ဖြတ်သန်းရပါတယ်။ ကျွန်တော့် လက်ထဲက ဒီ ဘီစကစ်မုန့်လေးဆိုရင် ခုလို နောက်ဆုံး Product မဖြစ်လာခင် အကြမ်းဖျင်း အဆင့် ၂၀ ၃၀ လောက် သူ့ Value Chain တလျှောက်မှာ ဖြတ်သန်းခဲ့ရပါတယ်။ ဂျုံစိုက်ဖို့ သွင်းအားစုတွေ၊ မျိုးစေ့တွေ၊ ရိတ်သိမ်းမှုနဲ့ ရိတ်သိမ်းလွန် အဆင့်တွေ၊ ဂျုံမှုံအဖြစ် ကြိတ်ခွဲ ထုတ်ပိုးသယ်ယူပို့ဆောင်မှုတွေ၊ ဘီစကွက်မုန့်အဖြစ် ထုတ်လုပ်မှုတွေ၊ ထုတ်ပိုးမှုတွေ စတဲ့ အဆင့်အားလုံးမှာ ရေအသုံးပြုမှု၊ စွမ်းအင် အသုံးပြုမှု၊ လူ့စွမ်းအား အရင်းအမြစ်များကိုအသုံးပြုပြီး အံဝင်ခွင်ကျ အချိတ်အဆက်မိမိ စီမံဆောင်ရွက်ထုတ်လုပ်မှ ခုလို့ ကျွန်တော့လက်ထဲမှာ နောက်ဆုံး ထုတ်ကုန်အဖြစ်ရောက်ရှိနိုင်တာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ စားနပ်ရိက္ခာစံနစ် Food Systems တွေဟာ ကမ္ဘာပေါ်မှာ အရှုပ်ထွေးဆုံး Value Chain တွေ ပါဝင်ပါတ်သက်နေတဲ့ စံနစ်များဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ပြဿနာကအဲ့ဒီမှာပါ။ စံနစ်တခုက ပိုမိုရှုပ်ထွေးလာလေလေ ပိုပြီး ထိလွယ်ရှလွယ် ကျိုးကြေလွယ် ဖြစ်လာလေလေပါဘဲ။ ပိုပြီး Complex ဖြစ်လာလေလေ ပိုပြီး Fragile ဖြစ်လာလေလေပါ။

မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရဲ့ ထိလွယ်ရှလွယ်တဲ့ Fragile Food Systems တွေဟာ Covid 19 ကစလို့ ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့ ၅ နှစ်အတွင်းမှာ ကပ်ရောဂါ၊ ပဋိပက္ခ၊ စီးပွါးရေး ကြပ်တည်းမှု၊ ရာသီဥတုဖေါက်ပြန်မှု နဲ့ သဘာဝဘေးအန္တရာယ် စတဲ့ အကြပ်အတည်းတွေကြားမှာတွေကြားမှာ အဆုံးစွန်ဆုံး အတိုင်းအတာအထိ ကြံ့ကြံ့ခံနိုင်မှုကို အစမ်းသပ်ခံခဲ့ရပါတယ်။ ဘယ်တောင်သူ၊ ဘယ် SME၊ ဘယ် Institution မှ တဦးတဖွဲ့တည်း ကြံကြံခံမရပ်တည်နိုင်ပါဘူး။ အားလုံးကျောချင်းကပ်စုစည်းပြီး ပေါင်းစည်းစွာလုပ်ဆောင်ကြမှသာလျှင် ခုလိုအကြပ်အတည်းတွေကို ကြံ့ကြံ့ခံ ရပ်တည်နိုင်မှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ အဲ့ဒီလို စုစည်းစွာ collectively လုပ်ဆောင်ကြဖို့ရာမှ SBN လို Business Network များနဲ့ ဒီ Power Biz Program လို အစီအစဉ်၊ ပံ့ပိုးမှုများဟာ အခရာကျလှပါတယ်။ နောက် ကျွန်တော်တို့ သတိချပ်ရမှာက အဲ့ဒီလို ကြံကြံခံနိုင်ဖို့ ပေါင်းစည်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုများမှာ ယုံကြည်မှု (Trust) ကို ခိုင်ခိုင်မာမာ မြစ်ဖျားခံတည်ဆောက်ပြီး ဆောင်ရွက်ကြဖို့ပါ။

ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့ ၅ နှစ်အတွင်းမှာကျွန်တော်တို့ ရှင်သန်ကျန်နေနိုင်ရေး ဆိုတဲ့ Survival ကိုဘဲ အာရုံစိုက်နေခဲ့ကြရပါတယ်။ မှန်ပါတယ်။ အဲ့လို အာရုံစိုက်ခဲ့ကြလို့လဲ ဒီနေ့ ဒီအချိန် ကျွန်တော်တို့ ဒီအခန်းထဲမှာ ခုလိုတွေ့နိုင်တာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒါပေမယ့် ရှင်သန်ကျန်နေရေး တခုထဲနဲ့ဘဲ ကျွန်တော်တို့ လမ်းဆုံးသွားလို့ မရပါဘူး။ ကျွန်တော်တို့ အသစ်တဖန် အားသစ်တွေနဲ့ ပြန်လည်နိုးကြားလာဖို့ Renewal ကိုမျှော်ကြည့်ရပါမယ်။ ပိုမိုကြံကြံခံနိုင်တဲ့ စားနပ်ရိက္ခာစံနစ်တွေ၊ အစားအစာ ထုတ်လုပ်မှူကွင်းဆက်တွေ၊ လုပ်ငန်းတွေ အားသစ်မန်သစ်နဲ့ တဖန်ပြန်လည်နိုးကြားလာဖို့ ကျွန်တောတို့ကိုယ်တိုင်ကြိုးစားတည်ဆောက်ရပါမယ်။ အခုလို သွင်းကုန်တွေ အကန့်အသတ်နဲ့ ရှိနေတဲ့ခြေအနေမှာ အဲ့လိုတည်ဆောက်နိုင်တဲ့ စားသောက်ကုန်ထုတ်လုပ်သူတွေဟာလည်း အခွင့်အရေးတွေပိုရှိနေပါတယ်။

လွန်ခဲ့တဲ့ ၂ လလောက်က ကျွန်တော့ ဝရန်တာမှာ တရုတ်စကားပန်းပင်လေးကို စိုက်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ စိုက်ပြီး မကြာခင်မှာဘဲ မှိုရောဂါ တခုကျပြီး အရွက်တွေတဖြုတ်ဖြုတ်ကြွေကျပါတယ်။ ကျွန်တော် လိုအပ်တဲ့ အာဟာရဓါတ်တွေဖြည့်ဆည်းပေးတယ်၊ ရေပုံမှန်လောင်းပေးတယ်၊ ဂရုစိုက်ပေးလိုက်တော့ အခုဆို အရွက်နုလေးတွေ ဝေဝေဆာဆာ ပြန်စထွက်လာပါပြီ။ ဒီနေရာမှ ကျွန်တော်ပြောချင်တာက တရုတ်စကားပန်းပင်လေး တဖန်ပြန်လည်ရှင်သန်လာနိုင်မှု (Renewal) အတွက် တရုပ်စကားပန်းပင်လေး ကိုယ်တိုင်ဘဲ လုပ်ရတာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ကျွန်တော်က ပံ့ပိုးမှုဘဲ လုပ်နိုင်တာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

အဲ့လိုဘဲ ဥယျဉ်မှုး SBN နဲ့ ဒီ program ရဲ့ အထောက်အပံ့တွေဟာ ပံ့ပိုးမှုတွေသာဖြစ်ပြီး ထုတ်လုပ်သူ လုပ်ငန်းရှင်တွေ အနေနဲ့ ကိုယ်တိုင် အားထုတ်ပြီး တဖန်ပြန်လည်တည်ဆောက် ပြီး Renewal ဖြစ်ဖို့ကြိုးစားကြရပါမယ်။ မှန်ပါတယ်။ ကျွန်တော်တို့ ဖိအားတွေအလွန်အမင်းနဲ့ ရင်ဆိုငိခဲ့ရပါတယ်။ မှန်ပါတယ်။ ကျွန်တော်တို့ အရင်းအမြစ်တွေ လွန်စွာ အကန့်အသတ်နဲ့ လုပ်ကိုင်ခဲ့ရပါတယ်။ မှန်ပါတယ်။ ကျွန်တော်တို့ လုပ်ငန်းတွေ ကြပ်ကြပ်တည်းတည်းနဲ့ လည်ပါတ်ခဲ့ရပါတယ်။ ဒီ အခြေအနေ တွေအောက်မှာ SBN နဲ့ Power Biz လို Program တွေကနေ ပံ့ပိုးမှုတွေ၊ ပေါင်းစည်းမှုတွေ၊ စိတ်ခွန်အားတွေပေးတယ်ဆိုပေမယ့် ခုနက အပင်လေးလိုဘဲ တကယ်တမ်း အားသစ်တွေနဲ့ ပြန်လည်မွေးဖွားနိုင်ဖို့ကို ထုတ်လုပ်သူ လုပ်ငန်းရှင်တွေကိုယ်တိုင် ဘဲ အဓိက အားထုတ်ရမှာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

ဒါကြောင့်မို့လို့ ဒီနေ့ ပွဲဟာ အဆုံးသတ်မဟုတ်ပါဘူး။ ပိုမိုသန်စွမ်းစွာ အားသစ်လောင်း ပြန်လည်မွေးဖွားနိုင်ဖို့ လမ်းစဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒီလမ်းစလေးမှာ နောက်တဆင့် ကျွန်တော်တို့ offer လုပ်နိုင်တာက နောက်လ အောက်တိုဘာထဲမှာ MILS က ဦးဆောင်ပြီး SBN/WFP က co-organizer အဖြစ်ပါဝင်ကျင်းပမယ့် Food Systems Forum ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ လက်ရှိအချိန်မှာ အရေးတကြီး ဆွေးနွေးအဖြေရှာကြရမယ့် အစားအစားဘေးကင်းရေး၊ အာဟာရပြည့်ဝရေး၊ ရာသီဥတုဒါဏ်ကြံ့ကြံ့ခံနိုင်ရေး စတဲ့ ကျယ်ပြန်တဲ့ခေါင်းစဉ်တွေကို UN Agency တွေ၊ NGO/INGO တွေ ဖွံ့ဖြိုးမှု မိတ်ဖက်အဖွဲ့အစည်းတွေ၊ သုတေသန အဖွဲ့တွေ၊ အရပ်ဖက်အဖွဲ့ CSO/CBO တွေ၊ အရေးအကြီးဆုံး အနေနဲ့ ထုတ်လုပ်သူတွေ ပူးပေါင်းဆွေးနွေးအဖြေရှာကြမယ့် ဖိုရမ်မှာ ပူးပေါင်းပါဝင် တက်ရောက်ဆွေးနွေးနိုင်ကြပါမယ် ဆိုတာ ကျွန်တော်သတင်းစကားပေးချင်ပါတယ်။ Forum မှာ အားလုံးပါဝင်တဲ့ ဆွေးနွေးမှုတွေကတဆင့် ကြံကြံခံနိုင်မှုတွေကနေ ဘယ်လို အားသစ်လောင်း ပြန်လည်မွေးဖွားနိုင်မလဲဆိုတာ လေ့လာအဖြေရှာနိုင်မှာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

နိဂုံးချုပ်အနေနဲ့ကတော့ အကြပ်တည်းဆုံးဆိုတဲ့ အခြေအနေတွေမှာတောင် ကြံ့ကြံခံရပ်တည်ရင်း အားသစ်လောင်းပြန်လည်မွေးဖွားပြီး Renewal ဖြစ်နိုင်တယ်ဆိုတာကို ယုံကြည်ကြဖို့ ကျွန်တော် တိုက်တွန်းလိုပါတယ်။ အကြပ်တည်းဆုံးဆိုတဲ့ အခြေအနေတွေအောက်မှာ ရှိနေတတ်တဲ့ ထူးခြားတဲ့ အခွင့်အရေးတွေကို မလွတ်တမ်း ဆုတ်ကိုင်ရင်း ကိုယ့်အတွက်၊ ကိုယ့်ပါတ်ဝန်းကျင်အတွက် ဘေးကင်းပြီး အာဟာရပြည့်ဝတဲ့ ထုတ်ကုန်တွေ အားသစ်မာန်သစ်နဲ့ ဆက်လက်ထုတ်လုပ်နိုင်ပါစေလို့ ဆန္ဒပြုရင်းကျွန်တော့ အဖွင့်စကားလေးကိုနိဂုံးချုပ်အပ်ပါတယ်။

Keynote Speech — From Survival to Renewal

Distinguished guests, colleagues, friends —

It is an honor to join you today to close this inspiring Power Biz journey. I wish to first thank the World Food Programme, our technical partners – Impact Hub, Fresh Studio and Wageningen University for all your supports and our corporate partners Food Panda and AYA Bank for your generous contribution. Above all, I’d like to thank the entrepreneurs and businesses who have brought such energy and commitment to this program. I want to start with why Business Networks such as SBN and initiatives such as Power Biz are critically important for Myanmar nutrition security and food systems.

Food Systems are intertwined with the most complex value chains in the world. The wooden chairs in this room went through no more than 5 or 6 stages to sit in this room. But for this food to reach in my hand as the final product, it has gone through approximately 30 steps through the complex coordinations and processes along its value chain. From seeds and fertilizers for the wheat, milling and transportation of the flour, processing with different ingredients and packaging – all made possible only the use of energy, machineries and human resources. You can see that it is truly a complex system. The problem is this – when a system is more complex, it becomes more fragile. 

Since the first wave of COVID 19, it has been 5 years Myanmar’s fragile food system has been put under immense pressure. Pandanmic, conflict, economic hardships and climate events have stress-test the communities and businesses to the unusual extent. No single farmer, SME, or institution can be resilient alone and it is critical for businesses to work together collectively. SBN Myanmar is such an important platform for collective action and this event is a perfect example of collective resilience. But we must not forget that at the center of the collective resilience is trust.

In the past 5 years, we have been forced to focus on survival. Survival has kept us going—but survival alone cannot be our destination. Renewal must now be our horizon. Renewal means the courage to imagine a better food system, and the determination to build it ourselves.

I have this beautiful Frangipani tree in my balcony I planted 2 months ago. Soon after, it was struck by a fungal disease. Its leaves fell. Its growth slowed. I gave it care, water, and protection. But in the end, the renewal came. Not from me — it came from the plant itself. New buds appeared. Fresh leaves emerged. It taught me something simple but profound: the gardener can only support; the plant must choose to grow.

In the same way, Myanmar’s producers, entrepreneurs, and businesses hold the power to define their own future. Yes – we have been put under enormous pressure. Yes – the resources have been constrained. Yes – the operating environment has been very challenging. Networks like SBN are here to provide tools, spirit, and solidarity — but the real renewal depends on our own choices, resilience, and creativity to find solutions.

That is why today’s Power Biz is not an ending — it is a beginning. A step toward something larger: the renewal of our food system. And as we look ahead, this journey continues with the Food Systems Forum convened by MILS and co-organized by SBN Myanmar with the support from WFP. The Forum will be a space where Myanmar’s agri-food stakeholders can come together — not only to understand the multifaceted challenges we face, but to design collective solutions that strengthen resilience and unlock renewal.

So let us move forward with confidence that even in fragile times, renewal is possible. Let us carry with us the trust we have built here, and let us nurture it into stronger partnerships. And let us remember that the future of Myanmar’s food system will be shaped not by chance, but by the choices we make today — together.

If we can hold on to this spirit, I truly believe Myanmar’s food system will not only survive, but renew, thrive, and inspire.
